Cameron County Draft HMAP

Cameron County has developed the Cameron County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan. A draft copy of the Plan is available for the public to review and to provide comments. The purpose of developing the Plan is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards that impact the area, such as severe weather, floods, or wildfires, through effective mitigation.  

 Cameron County is gathering input on the draft plan until July 10th, 2026. The draft plan can be viewed on the County’s website. Comments can be emailed to pmorris@h2opartnersusa.com.
