Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator / Clean Water Treatment Plant Operator

Job Summary:  The Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator (SWTPO) and Clean Water Treatment Plant Operator (CWT) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a complex treatment plant, the storage and delivery of the finished product in adequate quantity. Ensure that the finished product complies with all Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) rules and regulations.

SENIOR WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR

The Senior Water/Wastewater Operator will perform operational duties related to the safe operation and maintenance of the City’s water and wastewater treatment systems. The responsibilities will include inspecting, operating, and maintaining all of the water & wastewater and pump stations, lift stations, various physical, chemical, and biological testing systems, and making process changes based upon test data and operator knowledge to ensure plant operations are within design parameters.

Public Safety Director

Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Police Department and the Fire Department, through planning, organizing, and directing departmental activities. Ensure that law and order is maintained; that laws and ordinances are enforced; that measures are implemented to prevent crimes and to protect lives and property; adopt and implement policies as necessary; exercise clear and independent judgment to make certain police directives are handled in a professional, business-like manner.
